Thoughts
Arley and I were in the Marshall Univ. ROTC program together. We were on the school rifle team and were friends. I bought him a beer at the Varsity Club the week he was leaving for the Marine Corps. I thought a lot of Arley and he of me. I think of him often and how our lives crossed. I went on into the Army after Marshall and I did not go to Vietnam. It was guys like Arley that we owe a debt of gratitude. I often wondered how he was killed and I appreciate finding this site and the answer to my questions. God bless Arley.

34 years late but my thoughts of Bob as we intered a village and all the kids were drawn to him as he passed out gum or candy. always smiling and a lot of laughing children eating what Bob saved from his C-rations. Also the Day Bob died is etched in my mind.
